This high-energy female trio present an eclectic and progressive mix of
world roots music with Maori, Pacific and Celtic influences.
Pacific Curls show off
their consummate musicianship with their impressive array of instruments,
including taonga puoro (Maori instruments), ukelele, guitar, cajon (drum),
tambourine, stompbox and the fiddle.
Having performed together for over
three years, this group - Kim Halliday (Rotuma, Scottish NZ), Ora
Barlow (Te Whanau a Apanui), Sarah
Beattie (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) - have already toured extensively in
Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia and throughout New Zealand. You
won't want to miss their captivating performance.

Ora Barlow
Te Whanau-a-Apanui
is an exciting musician, songwriter and artist featuring taonga puoro
(Maori traditional instruments) ukulele, percussion and vocals. Ora has
toured Europe, Australia, New Caledonia and Aotearoa and performed in
major festivals such as WOMAD UK, Edinburgh Fringe, Folkest Italy and
most of the festivals in Australia releasing two CD's along the way.
Kim Halliday
Rotuma, NZ Scottish
has studied and performed with some of the finest musicians in the world
including Robert Fripp and Nigel Gavin. Kim plays, guitar, ukulele, kalimba,
percussion and vocals and has been involved in many recording projects
and bands, both in NZ and overseas.
Sarah Beattie Aberdeenshire,
Scotland
started playing the fiddle at the age of six. Since then she has come
a long way! Performing with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra she
also jumped on board with Brave Hearts of Scotland show which ended their
international tour with a stint at the Sydney Opera House. Having toured
extensively throughout Europe, UK and Australia with as many bands as
fingers and toes, Sarah is a dynamic classical and traditional fiddle
player.
